Funeral services for Lennis D. Allen Sr., 68, 404 N. Fourth, will be at 10 AM Thursday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul J. Enabnit officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Allen died early Monday of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 22, 1913, in Calista, Kansas, the son of Howard and Gladys Smith Allen.

The family moved to the Lahoma community when he was 17 years old. Allen was a general construction engineer and had lived in several states.

He had been employed by the General Baking Company for 13 years and had worked at the Enid State School from 1966 to 1976.

For the past four years he had worked as a security guard for the B & M Security System.

Allen is survived by a son, L. D. Allen Jr., Bethany; five daughters, Mrs. Johnny (Janeal) Gracey, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Lawrence (Janet) Rowe and Mrs. Rosa Lee Henneke, both of Lahoma, Mrs. Lawrence (Sharon) Felber, Waukomis and Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Felber, Macomb, Illinois; 20 grandchildren; six great – grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. June Walton, Mrs. Ervin (Evelyn) Koehn and Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Montgomery, all of Enid, Mrs. Vonnie Roth, Lahoma, Mrs. Mildred Hackney, Farmington, New Mexico, Mrs. Robert (Melva) Unruh, Midwest City and a brother, Marvin R. Allen of Lahoma.

He was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter and three brothers.
