Born 20 February 1898

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elmer T. Waldron presiding for Everett L. Allen, 65, who died in a local hospital Saturday following a period of ill health.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of Kiowa Kansas, he came to Enid when he was a young man and had lived here since. He drove a wagon for the Quality Laundry for some time before driving for Red Ball and later various cab companies. He retired two years ago due to his health.

He was a member of the Christian Church and of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Connie Short, Enid, and Mrs. K. F. Mongold, Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Marvin Ward, Enid, and Thomas W., Bartlesville; 10 grandchildren, one great – grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Etta Breeden, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Roger Philips, Washington, DC, and Mrs. Lorena Hill, Alva.
