Mary Irene Alexander of Enid, 87 years young, formerly of Kiowa, Kansas passed away Friday evening in the Methodist home.

She was born December 9, 1903 in Albertville, Alabama, the daughter of J. Walter and Carolyn (Atwood) Jones. She was married to O. C. Alexander and to this union four children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Joan, and her sister Lillian. She is survived by three sons and their wives, John and Ruthene Alexander of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jim Alexander of San Antonio, Texas and Jack and Marilyn Alexander of Enid. One great-grandchild Camille Renée Alexander of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters: Mabel Burchfield of Cross Plains, Texas and Georgia Jones of Yucaipa, California.

She was a member of Neal Chapter of Eastern Star and past Worthy Matron and past Pres. of Enid Shriner Ladies Club.

A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all. Friends may contribute to the Enid Shrine Club's Crippled Children's Transportation Fund.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be held in the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel at 3 PM Sunday with Charles Divebliss reader First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Dr. Lloyd Lambert officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
