The funeral for Bernice Parks Aldrich, 86, will be 3 PM Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jerry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

She was born December 25, 1911, in Paden to Roy and Grace B. Parks and died Friday, August 7, 1998, at Golden Oaks Village. She graduated from Prague high school and attended the Oklahoma College for Women before graduating from the University of Oklahoma. She taught home economics at Sand Springs and Seminole. She married Merlyn Aldrich on June 1, 1940, in Prague. They lived in Enid for more than 35 years.

She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women's Association, PEO Chapter AQ and Weavers' Guild of Oklahoma City.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Fugate of Wichita, Kansas; one grandson; and one great – grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or PEO Educational Loan Fund with the funeral home serving as custodian.
