Services for Aldon Kent Albright, 68 of Enid will be 10 AM Saturday, January 8, 2000, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

He was born July 3, 1941 in Enid to Lee and Irene Murry Albright and died Wednesday, January 5, 2000, in St. Mary's Mercy Hospital following a sudden illness.

Kent spent his early childhood on a farm in Grant County later moving to Enid where he attended the Enid school system. He joined the U. S. Air Force during peacetime. In his early adulthood he rodeoed, raced stock cars and worked in the sign business. On January 8, 1966 he married Darla Jenkins. He owned and operated the Enid Speedway from 1981 to 1991. From 1992 to 1996 he owned the Cattleman's Café. He also operated the K & R mowing service with his cousin, Robert Freed. Kent was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Darla, a daughter, Kenda Morris and husband Jack, son Dustin and wife Risa, all of Enid; two grandchildren, Jordan and Carsyn Morris; sister Norma Henderson of Halstead, Kansas and his mother – in – law Leona Jenkins. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made through the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Diabetes Division.
