Albert Vernon Ake will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:30AM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Albert was born February 14, 1925 the son of Camden and Nancy Lee (Whitiker) Ake. Albert was a member of the 32nd Infantry and served in Seoul, Korea. After his discharge he became active in the oil business in the United States and later in the Persian Gulf and Algeria in Africa.

He married Violet Fern Patzkowski and they had three children; Marsha Flickinger, of Wichita, Kansas, Marcella Hyde, of Enid, and Michael Ake, also of Enid. They were married 49 years until her death in 1996 He then married Billie Schnider. They have two step-sons; Stephen Schnider, of Tulsa, and Justin Schnider, of Fritch, Texas.

He was a member of the V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
