A funeral service for Jane K. Adams, 77, Enid, is 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, in the Central Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks and the Rev. Shannon Speidel officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family present will be Friday evening 5:30-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jane was born on Sept. 20, 1938, in Hobbs, N.M. to Guthrie A. and Margaret (Strother) Keel, and died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in Enid. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated from high school. Jane received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Trinity University in San Antonio.

She taught for two years in France and Germany, before returning to San Antonio to teach at Randolph AFB for 15 years.

On June 6, 1978, Jane married Paul Adams in Universal City, Texas, and they made their home in Enid.

She volunteered at Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Sooner Sunday School Class and Central Christian Church. Jane served many funeral dinners at the church. She enjoyed crocheting.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

She is survived by her children, John and his wife, Kathy Adams, Arcadia; Lori and her husband, Johnny Myers; of Oklahoma City; Phillip Adams and James Adams, both of Enid; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her beloved dog, Ciby.
