ENID - Funeral service for Evelyn Adams, 93, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Tines officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Evelyn was born Aug. 22, 1917, on a farm near Loyal to Floyd and Elizabeth (Garms) Duffy and died Monday, June 27, 2011, in Enid.

Surviving are daughter, Sharon L. James of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandson, Michael S. James of Senoia, Ga.; brothers, Robert "Bob" Duffy of Enid, Clifford Duffy of Dover and Alfred Duffy of Denton, Texas; and sister, Barbara Wilczek of Enid. Preceded in death by husband, Harold, one sister and two brothers.

ENID - Funeral service for Evelyn E. Adams, 93, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Tines will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born Aug. 22, 1917, on a farm near Loyal, Okla., to Floyd and Elizabeth (Garms) Duffy and died Monday, June 27, 2011, in Enid, Okla.

She graduated from Kingfisher High School and Enid Business College.

She married Harold G. Adams July 27, 1940, in Arkansas.

She retired from the national ad department of Enid News & Eagle in 1975.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon L. James of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandson, Michael S. James of Senoia, Ga.; brothers, Robert "Bob" Duffy of Enid, Okla., Clifford Duffy of Dover, Okla., and Alfred Duffy of Denton, Texas; sister, Barbara Wilczek of Enid, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sister, Dorothy Geis; and two brothers, Ronald and John Duffy.

Memorials may be made to Ross Health Care with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
