Lou Ellen (Holley) ANDREW

Memorial Park Cemetery

Lou Ellen Andrew (Holley)
Tuesday, October 27th, 1936 - Wednesday, May 31st, 2023

A Celebration of Life Service for Lou Ellen Andrew age 86 of Enid will be 10:00 am Monday, June 5, 2023 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Lou Ellen was born October 27, 1936 in Altus to E. E. and Mary (Cox) Holley and passed away May 31, 2023 in Integris Bass Hospital. Lou moved to Enid in 1942 where she attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1954. After dating for 6 years and with written permission from their parents, she married E. R. Andrew on June 24, 1954 in Enid, OK...they were both only 17 years old.

She followed E.R. to Stillwater where she worked to help put him through school. Right before graduation she gave birth to their first son Bill in 1959. They moved around from Denver to Kansas City for E.R.'s work. During this time their second son Tim was born in 1960. After moving back home to Enid she gave birth to their third son Rob in 1962. While E.R. was working hard to start his own business, Lou worked several jobs in addition to making sure E.R.'s books were done correctly. In 1970 after their fourth and best son Tom was born, Lou concentrated on the family business making sure all the numbers were in their correct place. It was the type of job she excelled at and her love of numbers carried over to her being an expert Sudoku solver. She helped E.R. to make the business successful and they built a comfortable life together.

She loved her boys and raised each of them into confirmed momma's boys. Later she turned that attention towards her grandchildren and became a wonderful loving grandma. As she aged and her memory started slipping she might have gotten some names mixed up, but she always knew her boys.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Lou is survived by her husband E. R.; three sons, Bill Andrew and wife Darla, Tim and wife Jeanne Andrew and Tom and wife Jessica, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister Sue Hagopian and husband Gary and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Holley, and son Rob Andrew.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.

Condolences may be made online and the service may be viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
