OBITUARY
William Gilbert Harter was born January 5th, 1859, at Freeman, Hancock Co., Ill. While a young man with his parents emigrated to Senica, Brown co., Kans. HE soon after went to Boulder, Colo., where he was united in marriage to Sarah E. Marshall, January 15, 1891. To this union six children were born: Clifford W., George R., Florence L., Marie D., Joseph F., and Edwin M., all of whom are living.
They returned to Kansas in August 1892, from there moved to Enid, Okla., in 1899. Then moved to a farm near Kremlin, Okla., in April, 1905; from there to Kremlin in March, 1912, where he died, December 22, 1920, aged 61 years, 11 months, and 16 days. HE was a member of the Baptist church having united with the church in 1912.
He was laid to rest in the Kremlin cemetery by the side of his father and mother.
