Obituary of Mrs. William Fair
Martha N. Wilson was born January 13, 1822, in Middle Tennessee, and died April 8, 1910, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.K. Woods, ten miles southwest of Enid, Okla., aged 78 years, 2 months and 16 days.
When ten years of age she moved with her parents to Missouri. She was united in marriage to William Fair July 9, 1854.
To this union was born four children, one son and three daughters, Chas. Fair of Caldwell, Kans.; Mrs. Mary Hunter of Una, Ark.; Mrs. Becca Masters of Missouri; and Mrs. Maggie Woods of Enid, Okla.
She was converted when eleven years of age and united with the Baptist church where she remained a faithful member to the end. She was a consistent Christian and loved by all who knew her.
She leaves one brother, four children and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Her husband passed over the river of death April 22, 1867. They are now united in a better land where parting is no more.
The funeral was held at the United Brethren church at Imo, conducted by the pastor, Rev. S.C. Allman, assisted by Rev. D.W. Ross of Enid.
