Hillsdale Cemetery



ENID — Funeral service for James Willems, 67, of Hillsdale , will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

James passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. James was born July 24, 1944, in Hutchinson, Kan., the son of Leonard and Lila Schmidt Willems.

He was a master carpenter and worked in the home building business most of his life. He was last employed by Oakwood Christian Church as building superintendent. He was a proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed living in the country and spending time outdoors tending his gardens and spending time with his sons. His family was his first priority.

Survivors include three sons, Burk James Willems and wife Amy of Parsons, Kan., Benjamin Lee Willems of Hillsdale , Okla., Klancy Kole "KK" Willems of Hillsdale , and the mother of his children, Jennie Willems of Enid, Okla.; two grandchildren, Sophia Willems and Lucas Hayes; two brothers, Randy Willems and wife Brenda of Plano, Texas, and Terry Willems and wife Theresa of Breckinridge, Okla.; sister, Sandra Dorris and husband Curtis of Bethany, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jamie Michelle Willems.
