Hillsdale Cemetery


The memorial service for Teresa “Terri” Diane McCoy, 54, of Medford, will be 10 a.m. today, March 5, 2010, at First Church of the Nazarene. The Revs. Bruce Johnson, J.T. Carnell and Shane Rackley will officiate. A private inurnment will be in Hillsdale Cemetery.

She was born April 29, 1955, in Oklahoma City to Charles R. and Elaine M. Brown Russell and died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at her home.

She was a graduate of Putnam City High School, Oklahoma City, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva, with a degree in biology.

She married Phillip Dale McCoy Nov. 22, 1975, in Oklahoma City. They lived in the Renfrow and Medford areas.

She worked for Farm Service Agency since 1980 as program technician and acting CED. She was a member of United States Department of Agriculture NASCOE and OKASCO, serving as president from 2008 to 2009 and secretary-treasurer from 1993 to 2004. She kept books for basketball games and was active in the All Sports Club. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the church board.

Surviving are her husband, Phillip, of the home; two sons, Kelly McCoy and Kasey McCoy, both of Hillsdale; her parents, Charles and Elaine Russell of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jim Russell of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Pam Cantillon of Blackwell and Sherrie Davis of Yukon; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK 73759, to Hillsdale Bible Church youth building or Enid First Church of the Nazarene building fund.
