Hayward Cemetery


November 22, 1910 - March 16, 2009

The funeral for Bonnie Fay Kapka Knopfel, 98, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Lucien United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dane Lemmons will officiate. Burial will be in Hayward Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.

She was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Hayward to Ulysses Grant and Sarah Etta Michael Goe and died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Perry Memorial Hospital. She was a 1929 graduate of Hayward High School. She married Lloyd W. Kapka March 15, 1929, in Guthrie. He died March 8, 1952. She later married James F. Knopfel March 23, 1954, in Enid. He died May 3, 2001.

She was a homemaker and worked at Perry Memorial Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of Lucien United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Mike Kapka of Perry; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, Lloyd and James, one son, three sisters and three brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077, to Lucien United Methodist Church.
