Harold was born February 26, 1909 and passed from this life on September 10, 1994.

He and Dorothy Laura Pownell were married March 19, 1936 and to this union was born four sons: J. Ronald, Jerry, Daniel and David Wesley.

He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy and three of their sons: Ron, Jerry and Daniel.

He was preceded in death by his son David in February of this year.

The funeral for Dorothy Laura Pownell Brown , 88, will be at 10 am Wednesday in the Henninger Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Oscar Cunningham and Thurman Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in the North IOOF (Lions) Cemetery , Marshall.

She was born July 24,1913 in Butler to Homer and Myrtle Plotner Pownell and died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She graduated from Douglas High School and attended Central State College and Phillips University, receiving a teaching certificate. She taught five years in a one room rural school.

In 1936, she married the Rev. J. Harold Brown. She was a member of the Douglas Christian Union Church for many years and later at Victory Bible Church in Enid.

Surviving are three sons: Ron of Marshall, Jerry of Covington and Daniel of Tulsa; one sister Betty Bridal of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two sisters and one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to charity of donor's choice.
