Garber Lutheran Cemetery


Funeral for James E. Betchan, 70, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber, OK. Pastor Scott Ray will officiate. Private burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Garber.

Jim was born in Perry, OK, Dec. 4, 1943, to Herbert and Helen Cain Betchan and passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.

He was baptized and later confirmed in Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.

On October 11, 1963, he married Carol Haskins, and they have two sons, Jay and wife Minka and David, and grandsons, Hayden and Parker. He also is survived by seven sisters and three brothers and their families.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church’s Helping Hands Fund, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the fund. Condolences may be made at ladusauevans.com.
