Funeral services for Charles Eugene Tunis, 91, Garber, will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ First Covenant Bible Fellowship, with Pastor Jody Schmidt officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Garber Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army.

Charles was born on July 25, 1924 in Garber, the son of George and Maggie Mae Johnson Tunis, and passed away peacefully on December 23, 2015 in Enid. He worked as a salesman for Singer Steel and bulldozer operator. Charles, (aka Chuck) accepted Jesus as his savior at a very early age and attended church regularly his entire life. Chuck was unselfish with his love and material possessions. He may never have had a new car but always said he was rich when surrounded by his family, especially his great-grandchildren. He would want everyone to know that “Grace is what saves you and Grace will set you free".

He was preceded in passing by his parents, George and Maggie Tunis, his brothers, sisters and his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia.

Survivors include his children, Cathy Sue Mork, Donna Ruth Witty, Alan Eugene Tunis, Sharon Louise Bell and Janet Gay Baker; grandchildren, Christie, Brandi, Steven, Stephanie, Jimmy, Michael, Alicia, Matthew, Jennie, Megan and Josie; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Parker, Marissa, Marilyn, Rocky, Aalyia, Troy, Kaylie, Destinee, Drake, Bell, Abby, Topanga, Cheyenne, Kaitlyn, and Jalen; Charles’ precious little dog, Little Momma who never left his side.
