Garber Cemetery



March 9, 1878 - July 22, 1942

Funeral services for Mrs. Ora L. Pickard, 64 years old, Garber resident, were held July 24 in the Covington Christian Church with the Rev. Neal Lovell officiating. Burial was in Garber Cemetery with the Henninger Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Pickard died July 22.

Soon after the opening of the Cherokee Strip, she came to Oklahoma and settled in the Garber – Covington community where she resided until her death.

She was a member of the Covington Christian Church.

Pallbearers were Arthur Fisher, Garfield Culbertson, Herman Harms, Bill Schneider, Fred Neundorf and a Victor Richie all of the Garber – Covington vicinity.

Her survivors are her husband, J. W. Pickard of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Thurman Funk, Wichita; two sons, W. B. Bewley, Three Sands; Frank Bewley, Arkansas City, Kansas; her mother, Mrs. M. E. Ladusau, Garber; one sister, Mrs. Alta Frazier, Hunter; three brothers, Harry Ladusau, Enid; John, Los Angeles, California; Ival, Tonkawa, and six grandchildren.
