Garber Cemetery


Joseph D. Morris Jr., 72, Covington, died in an Enid hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Services will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Assembly of God Church, Garber, with the Rev. Jean Anoatubby and the Rev. Guinne Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Morris was born on December 4, 1904 at Roff, Oklahoma. He married the former Alabama Thornton on February 21, 1925. Shortly thereafter they moved to Covington where Morris was employed by the Sinclair Oil Company, until 1954, when he retired. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Garber.

He is survived by his wife, Bama, of the home; three sons, Louie and Bill, of Wichita, Kansas; John, Fairmont; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Melvalena) Reynolds, Covington; Mrs. Earl (Alice) Goff, Garber; six grandchildren.
