F. Irene Logan, 100 years, 4 months, 23 days, formerly of Garber, Okla., was the daughter of Lawson A. and Effie Jane (Wallace) Lafferty. She was born Oct. 26, 1912, on a farm five miles north and two miles west of Garber and died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at The Renaissance Assisted Living Center in Ponca City, Okla. She attended grade school in rural Oklahoma, moving to Garber in 1921, where she graduated from high school in 1931.
Irene married George Logan Feb. 19, 1935, in Hitchcock, Okla. He preceded her in death in August 1998. She helped George on the farm, and run the service station in Garber. When Irene wasn't working on the farm or service station you could find her spending time with her family and friends. Irene was an active member of Garber United Methodist Church, UMW, the THW Club, and Quilters Club.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Garber United Methodist Church, Garber, Okla. Pastor Linda Pope will officiate. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Garber. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Okla.

Irene is survived by two sons, Larry Logan and wife Lila of Ponca City, Okla., Kelly Logan and wife Tracy of Enid, Okla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Lawson and Effie Jane; son, Lonnie Logan; six brothers and four sisters.
