Dolores Hugaboom, 61, of Garber, Okla., was the daughter of Frank Zimri and Dorothy Rosalie (Yauk) Patterson.

She was born Oct. 25, 1948, in Woodward, Okla., and died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, Okla.

On April 11, 1976, Dolores married Eldon Hugaboom at Zion Lutheran Church, Buffalo, Okla.

Dolores’ true passion was spent playing golf. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She joined Garber Lions Club in 2004. She enjoyed the friendships of Lions statewide and the service activities that involved helping others. She attended the 2009 International Convention in Minneapolis, Minn., when Eldon was installed as governor and traveled with him to the many activities as the First Lady of District 3-A Lions. She was elected to the Dr. Briggs Scholarship Fund Board and served a two-year term. In 2005, she received the District 3-A R. Hal Long Rookie of the Year Award, and in April 2010, she was honored with a Melvin Jones Fellowship. She served as an officer in the Garber Lions, and in 2006, received the International Lions 100% Secretary Award.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, “Meme,” “Darlin” and friend by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber. Pastor Joseph Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Garber.

Memorials may be made to Garber Lions Club Dolores Hugaboom Memorial Fund in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, OK 73738.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Eldon Hugaboom; three children, Damian Hugaboom and his wife Teresa and their children Hilary, Gage and Zane, all of Hennessey, Okla., Shawn Hugaboom and his wife Darla and their children Amelia, Lucas and Seth, all of Edmond, Okla., and Tiffani Hugaboom and her son Noah, both of Garber; one brother, Frank Patterson Jr. of Mutual, Okla.; 10 sisters, Linda Hartley of Medicine Lodge, Kan., Lorna Driscoll of Vinita, Okla., Kathy Brown of Buffalo, Deanna Staats of Woodward, Jarie Coggins, Becky George, Lynnette Ingraham and Nolene Compton, all of Buffalo, Marita Reichenberger of Woodward, and Rosalie Briggs of Blackwell, Okla.; and one brother-in-law, Dusty Hugaboom and his wife Lisa and family, all of Enid.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gavin Ryan Hugaboom and Aiden Joe Lawson, and her parents, Frank and Dorothy Patterson.

Eldon Lee Hugaboom, age 68 of Garber, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid. Celebration of Life Service is 10 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber, Oklahoma with the Rev. Scott Ray officiating. Burial follows in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. Friends may leave online condolences at www.Brown-DuggerFuneralHome.com The family has suggested memorials to the Garber Lions Club and contributions may be left at the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber.

Eldon Lee Hugaboom was born Nov. 26, 1948 in Woodward, to Bob & Susie (Heekin) Hugaboom. Eldon graduated from Buffalo High School in May of 1967. He then graduated from Hospital Corps School in February 1968. Eldon graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in June of 1975. Eldon also served four years with the United States Navy, as Vietnam Veteran receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal Award, Vietnam Service Medal (3 Stars) and Navy Unit Commendation before being honorable discharged. On April 11, 1976, Eldon married Dolores Gaye and she preceded him in death in 2010.

Eldon graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Physician's Associate Program in August 1977, with Bachelor of Science with Distinction. Most recently Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified in October of 2002. Eldon worked for Newman Memorial Hospital from 1977 to 1981; 1981 to 1989 at Hudson-Suthers Clinic, William Key Correctional Center from 1989 to 1993; 1993 to 2000 Laverne Family Heath Clinic; and most recently, Integris from 2000 to 2015, when he retired. Eldon was a member of the Oklahoma Academy of Physician's Assistants, former board member American Academy of Physician's Assisters, former delegate. He was also a scout master, t-ball coach, school board member in Buffalo, and Lions Club Member (District Governor)

Survivors include two sons Damian Hugaboom and wife Teresa of Hennessey, Shawn Hugaboom and wife Darla of Huxley, Iowa; one daughter Tiffani Hugaboom of Garber; grandchildren Gage Hugaboom, Zane Hugaboom, Hilary Hugaboom, Noah Anderson, Lucas Hugaboom, Amelia Hugaboom and Seth Hugaboom; brother Dusty Bob Hugaboom wife Lisa of Enid.
