ENID, Okla. — August 8, 1925 – May 17, 2014

Mary, 88, departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Mary was born in Breckinridge, Okla., to Frank and Hannah (Martinek) Bradford.

She grew up in the Garber area and attended school and graduated from Garber High School.

Mary married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Clyde English.

She was dedicated to her church and family. She cooked and served numerous meals to her church family and opened her home to them. She loved working in her yard and did professional sewing, making beautiful garments. After her children were grown, she worked in the nursery at Midwest Regional Hospital and later volunteered at the Midwest City Welcome Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Clyde English; her parents, Frank and Hannah Bradford; a grandson, Daniel A. Rains; a brother, Eugene Bradford and wife Ann; and a brother-in-law, Hollis Ward.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Ward; her children, Janet G. Rains of Oklahoma City, Okla., Richard E. English and wife Barbara of Choctaw, Okla., and Thomas A. English of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Shaunda Root, William Rains, Lisa Tillman, Vicki Harris, Julie English and Casey English; six great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, May 20, 2014, at Paylor Family Funeral Care, Midwest City, Okla. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, in Garber Cemetery, Garber, Okla.
