OBITUARY
Mrs. Lula Crews was born May 19th, 1877, and died at her home five miles south and two miles east of Garber on the 1st day of September, 1910. Aged 33 years, 3 months and 12 days.
She was married to James A. Crews July 4th, 1896. Their union was blessed with seven children, six of whom survive the mother and father. She was converted at the age of fifteen years and joined the Baptist church. A few years later, she and her husband joined the Christian church of which she remained a member until her death.
Soon after her husband's death, she contracted a severe cold which developed into tuberculosis or quick consumption.
She was ambitious and planned a nice house that was finished only in time for her dying. The battle in the end was short and decisive. She died quickly just; when most needed, she was called away.
The funeral took place from the residence at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 2nd. Interment beside her husband in the Garber cemetery.
