Boy drowned at Garber

Elmer Boyd, aged 20, a nephew of R. A. Harp of Garber, was drowned in a pond near Garber Tuesday night about 7:30. Young Boyd with several other boys went to the pond for a swim. He was attacked by cramps and drowned before his companions could render aid. The body was recovered about 9:30.

The boy's parents reside near Cleo, and he had been at Garber since the harvest season. The funeral was held Wednesday and he was buried at Garber.
