Dorothy was born May 1, 1926 to John and Lorena Patton Wood, and died April 30, 1997. She was raised on the family farm North of Ames and graduated from Ames High School.

She was married December 8, 1948 to Hugh Burton Blaser in Enid. They made their home in Garber. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Garber.

Surviving are her husband Hugh of the home in Garber; three daughters, Linda Farr, Elaine Voth and Peggy Froese, all of Enid; her brother Donald Wood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother John E. Wood.

The funeral for Hugh Burton Blaser, 83, of Garber, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Garber First Baptist Church. The Rev. Tom LeGrand will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will be at 313 Roseanne, Enid.

He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Garber to Steven F. and Silver Bryan Sisson Blaser and died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, in Enid.

He grew up in Garber and attended Garber schools. He served in the Army.

He married Dorothy L. Wood Dec. 8, 1948, in Enid. They made their home in Garber. He farmed and was a mechanic for Long’s John Deere. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Garber, where he served as deacon and treasurer for 40 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Farr, Elaine Voth and Peggy Froese, all of Enid; two sisters, Marjorie Rowton of Haysville, Kan., and Mary Tigert of Altus; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and four brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Garber First Baptist Church or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division.
