Garber Cemetery


GARBER - The funeral for Gerald A. Beavers, 71, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist at Garber. The Rev. Perry Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home.
He was born July 19, 1931, in Garber to Harry D. and Lois L. Graham Beavers and died Monday, May 12, 2003, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid.
On Nov. 21, 1951, he married Alma Jane Hays at Garber. A former aircraft controller, he retired from the Air Force in 1968. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Garber and was a United Methodist Church lay speaker.
Surviving are his wife, Alma Jane; one son, Jeffery of Garber; two daughters, Jeral Boyer of Blackwell and Jean Anne Blough of Garber; two brothers, Graham and James, both of Oklahoma City; one sister, Virgie Cherry of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
