Glenda Hemken, 81, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on October 13, 2022. She entered this world on March 1, 1941, in Loveall, OK to Frank and Lela Goodnight.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, October19, 2022 at the Northeast Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Melton,pastor officiating with interment to follow in the Garber Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Grace Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

She graduated from Enid High 1959 and attended Enid Business College she married her high school sweetheart Henry G. Hemken and they were married August 5, 1960, in Enid, OK. They later moved to Ponca City, and she was a charter member of the Northeast Baptist Church. Glenda was a devoted housewife raising her son Wayne. Glenda was a self-taught oil painter and Organ and piano player. She enjoyed going to car shows with her son Wayne showing his 1965 Ford Thunderbird, Glenda enjoyed attending Red Hat lady group and Bowling. During her early years she was a member of the Enid Legionettes Drum and Bugle Corp playing the Bass Drum.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her Son; Wayne Hemken of Ponca City, OK and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Henry in 1994 and one sister: Judy Hill.
