OBITUARY

The funeral for Maxine G. Burdick Wirtz, 76, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home with Dr. James Wideman of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 26, 1918 in Lahoma, OK the seventh of eight children born to Otis Elmer and Catherine L. Dittrich Burdick died Monday April 17, 1995 at a nursing home in Ft. Worth, TX

She was raised on a farm near Goltry, OK, homesteaded by her father. The family later moved to Enid where she graduated from Enid High School and Enid Business College.

Mrs. Wirtz lived in Caldwell, KS and Enid, OK where she raised five sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a brother and a sister.

Surviving are five sons, Dan Wirtz of Wichita, KS ; Gene Wirtz of Clifton, CO ; George Wirtz of Ft. Worth, TX ; Kim Wirtz of Allen, TX ; Mark of Denton, TX ; two sisters, Leona Mullins of California ; and Luella Field of Enid; three brothers, Raymond Burdick of California; Jesse Burdick of Kansas; and Douglas Burdick of Oklahoma City, OK; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
