ENID, Okla. - Funeral for Conrad Phillip Wells, 82, of Enid, will be 2 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Susan Southall will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Connie was born Jan. 14, 1930, to Glenn and Florena (Hoffman) Wells in Long Beach, Calif. He graduated from Enid High School and then attended Oklahoma State University.

He worked at Cromwell's for 20 years and then owned and operated Thorpe-Wells with his wife for the following 20 years. He was a life member of Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip Pioneers, charter member of Grand National Quail Club and a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and golf. He was also an avid follower of Plainsman and Pacer athletics. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn (Coyle) of the home; daughters, Jo Bliss of Los Angeles, Calif., Susie Pruett and husband Jimmie of Austin, Texas, and Kay Grey and husband Norman of Enid; brother, Richard and wife Linda of Oklahoma City; sister, Glenda Ream of Verdigris; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Wells of Del City; eight
