A Celebration of Life for Jessie L Wade, 77, of Enid, will be Friday, January 29, 2016, 1:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred Baldwin Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Mrs. Wade passed away January 24, 2016.

Jessie was born November 15, 1938 in Lake Village, AR the daughter of Rosier Porter Jr. and Clara Lewis. She was employed as a shift supervisor at NORCE retiring after 35 years of service. She was united in marriage to Lacy Wade Sr. March of 1956 in Greenville, MS. She will be remembered as a strong independent woman, a loving mother and was a great cook. She enjoyed gardening, would feed anyone who needed a meal and above all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.

Survivors include four daughters, Martha Richardson, Clara Rutherford, Shelia Wade all of Enid; Gloria Johnson {Ted) of San Antonio, TX; Francine Washington of Guthrie, OK, two sons, Lacy Wade Jr. of Enid and H.L. Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK, three grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three brothers: Rosier Porter III and his wife Melvina of Piedmont, OK, Larry Porter of Plano, TX and Lloyd Spence of Denton, TX; a sister, Willa Mae Burks of Greenville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Virginia, a son, Henry, one brother, Charlie Porter and one grandson, Terrell Haley.
