The funeral for B. Frank Umble, 77, 2808 Yucca, who died early Monday in a local hospital after a short illness, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in Garriott Road Church of Christ. The Rev. Robert F. Heil, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Umble was born December 15, 1907, at Mount Vernon, Indiana, to John and Alice Umble. At the age of three, he moved with his parents to Akron, Ohio. He then lived in West Liberty, Ohio, Portage County, Ohio, for one year before moving to Goshen, Indiana, where he graduated from high school. He lived there until age 21, then moved to Oklahoma.

On October 17, 1926, he and Loree Hammer were married at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. That same year, he went to work at Champlin Oil Company, and worked there until 1953. He then went to work at Union Equity and later for the Enid Board of Education.

Umble was a member of the Garriott Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Loree; one son, John S. Umble, Sentinel; one grandson; and one brother, Roy Umble, Goshen, Indiana.

Memorials in his name may be made to Enid Christian School with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
