Funeral services for Earl E. Umbarger, 64, who died in a local hospital Sunday evening after a long illness, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Prentice will officiate and burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

A native of Cherokee, Oklahoma, he was reared at Medford.

He married the former Mary Ott at Newkirk in 1943 and they established their home in Enid. Umbarger was a cement and building contractor by trade.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home at 730 N. 5th, one son, George, Enid; two daughters, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Parks, Enid and Mrs. William (Wanda) Ballinger, Arkansas City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Addison Strode, Ponca City, Mrs. Harry Whiting, Lamont and Mrs. Leonard Stoops, Wichita, Kansas.
