Mrs. Nelle E. Smith, 82, daughter of Arch and Minnie McEwen was born Aug. 16, 1897, on a farm near Drummond, Okla. She was raised in Enid and on Dec. 13, 1917 she married Lewis T. Smith in the Masonic Temple at Guthrie. Nov. 20, 1966.
Mrs. Smith was active in real estate for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Durrance of Enid and Mrs. Leland ( Eva Lou ) Driskell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p m in the Hennenger-Allen Funeral Home chapel With the Rev. Neal M. Lovell officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
