Celebration of Life service for Earl W. Rountree will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Central Christian Church in Enid, Okla., with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery on Willow Road. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Earl passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015, in Enid, and was born May 4, 1926, in Southard, Okla., to Isaac and Georgia (Eubank) Rountree.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, one son and one daughter.

He has one surviving brother, Dennis Rountree of Broken Arrow, Okla.

Earl is survived by the love of his life, Peggy Rountree.

He married Peggy on March 11, 1993. Together they shared a love like no other and were blessed every day to have one another.

Earl was a proud, decorated veteran for 30 years with the United States Marine Corps. He always wore with pride his retired Marine caps and loved being recognized for his service in the United States military. Earl was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Memorials can be made to the charity of one’s choice, with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
