Funeral rites for Mrs. Don W. (Mary Ellen) Roach, 72, of 2404 E. Birch, who died late Wednesday in a local nursing home, be at 2 PM Monday in the Chapel of the Fossett Funeral Home with Dr. John Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

Mrs. Roach was born July 1, 1900, in Enid and had lived here her entire life. She was a graduate of Enid high school and attended Enid Business College, later working two years as a private secretary for an Enid attorney.

She and Donald W. Roach were married in 1935 in Enid and he predeceased her on February 24, 1972. Mrs. Roach was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Navy Mothers Club of which she was past commander and the Eastern Star Lodge No. 36. Her per parents and four brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, James Sheats of 2410 E. Birch; a brother, Theodore Bosber, Neosbo, Missouri; a sister, Kathryn Howe, Enid; five grandchildren and nine great – grandchildren.
