The funeral for Lela Eleanor Larkey Rahm, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Edmison and Rev. Gail Edmison officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Lela was born to Charles I. and Hettie Mae (McMurray) Larkey on February 8, 1920, in Waukomis, and died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in Enid.

Lela grew up in Waukomis and graduated from Waukomis High School. She then attended and graduated from Enid Business College. On November 11, 1951, she married Henry "Hank" Martin Rahm, and they made their home in Kremlin. Lela was a member of Kremlin Community United Methodist Church, UMW, Ruth Chapter of Eastern Star, Sons and Daughters of Cherokee Strip Pioneers, and Daughters of the American Revolution. In 1983, they moved to Enid.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy of Enid; sister-in-law, Bobett Larkey of Enid; nieces, Kathy (Eddie) Rhinehart of Atlanta, Ga., Diane (J.D.) Cutcomb of Savannah, Texas, Dana Sutton of New York City, Annette (Monty) Floyd of Canada, and Charla Jo (Ronnie) Grauberger of Garden City, Kan.; caregivers, Barbara Crites and Dayna Baker, both of Waukomis. Lela was preceded in death by her husband Hank on October 24, 2009, sister Edith White, and brother Irvin Larkey
