ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Forrest "Corky" L. Phillips, 81, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Willow Road Christian Church, with Rev. Carrell Still officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Forrest was born May 2, 1932, in Enid to Martin and Mable Thompson Phillips and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Enid Senior Care Center.

He attended and graduated from Enid High School.

Forrest entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict.

Forrest married Barbara Arnold July 29, 1956, in Enid.

Forrest worked eight years for the Enid Police Department and 21 years for Champlin Refinery. He worked in the maintenance building at Autry Vo-Tech for 20 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Willow Road Christian Church.

Forrest is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; two daughters, Lorri Franklin of Booneville, Ark., and Cindy Phillips of Enid; grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon and wife Amanda, and Trey Franklin; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Raelynn Franklin; sister, Joan McLean of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Phillips; and sister, Marilyn Schroeder.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
