Ruth Hazel McBlair

Funeral for Ruth Hazel McBlair, 78, 2832 N. Madison, will be at 2 PM Saturday in Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with a son, Bill McBlair, officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.

Mrs. McBlair died in a local hospital Thursday morning following a short illness. She was born January 18, 1901, in Enid, and had lived most of her life in the Enid community. The former Ruth Hazel Sterling, she married Ernest McBlair, who preceded her in death October 22, 1978.

Mrs. McBlair was formerly employed as a housekeeper and was a member of the East Maine Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons, Virgil, Oklahoma City, Joe, Des Alamands, Louisiana, Ernest Jr., Orlando, and Bill, Wakita; 14 grandchildren; eight great – grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Sterling, Enid, Jim Sterling, LaJunta, Colorado, and Bill Sterling, Dodge city, Kansas; a sister, Gracie Conley, Enid; and several nieces and nephews.
