Funeral service for Mary Sue Mason, 74, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Asher, Okla., to Walter Van Crenshaw and Dessie Dona Owens and passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, at the home after a period of ill health.

She lived in a variety of Oklahoma towns growing up. She graduated from high school and attended one year of college. Her dad worked in the oil field and her mom was a school teacher.

She married Donald Ray Mason April 18, 1954, at First Baptist Church, Lamont, Okla. They made their home in Blackwell in 1954 and moved to Enid in 2008. She was known for her wit and warm laughter. She loved her family, traveling and going to the beach at Aransas Pass, Texas, to flounder fish. She worked at Fey’s IGA, Equity Life Insurance Co. and Osler Clinic.

She is survived by husband, Don of the home; two sons, Wade and wife Deborah Mason of Green Valley, Okla., and Kit and wife Nicki Mason of Perrin, Texas; daughter, Terri Mason of Enid; grandchildren, Carolynn Williamson, Janel Boyer, J. D. Mason, Craig Mason, Kahle Mason, Ryan Brown and Courtney Brown; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Micah Mason, Brinklee Mason, Jade and D.J. Williamson and William Cam Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
