Robert D. "Bob" Martin

Robert D. "Bob" Martin, 59, died early Wednesday in a local hospital after a long illness.

Services will be Saturday in the Hennenger-Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray H. Bridgman officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

A native of Louisiana, he came to Oklahoma 29 years ago from Texas. He has lived here since coming to the state.

He is a former employee of Banfield Packing Company and recently served as a special deputy sheriff under sheriff Mason "Bud" Hart, Jr.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Suvivors include his wife Helen of the home; daughter, ------Sue Martin of the home; three daughters by a former marriage, Mrs Edith Williams of Enid; Mrs. ? S. Pierce of Colorado Springs; Mrs. Gene Rogers, of Enid.

Three sons by a former marriage, Earl, Ernest and Harold Martin all of Enid; ? grand children; four sisters, Mrs. Morris Sweeney and Mrs. Winnie Newton of Collinsville; Mrs. Mrs. Dan Hobbs of Houston; Mrs. Arnold Roadman of Houston;his father, Olin Martin, of Carrier.
