Mrs. Agnes K. Mahoney, 81, formerly of 1422 Osage, died early Tuesday in a Tulsa hospital.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 11 AM Friday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Phillip Bryce officiating. Burial will be in Enid Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mahoney was the widow of Elbert J. Mahoney, a longtime Enid banker and businessman.

Born June 15, 1898, to Mike Conway and Nora O'Neil Conway on the Homestead staked by her father at the opening of the Cherokee Strip near Billings, Mrs. Mahoney attended schools at both Billings and Perry. She taught school for a time at Elcorn school, known as Conway school, located near the family Homestead.

Mrs. Mahoney attended Phillips University and the University of Missouri. On October 18, 1921, she married Albert J. Mahoney in Enid where they made their home. He died in August 1958.

Mrs. Mahoney was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church where she was a charter member of the Catholic Women's Study Club. She was a former president of the Altar Society and served on the church Cemetery Board.

Mrs. Mahoney was cofounder of St. Mary's Hospital auxiliary, and a 50 – year member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of Enid Junior Welfare League and the Weed and Seed Garden Club of Enid.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Ann) Bryce, Tulsa; a son, James Richard (Dick), El Campo, Texas; a brother, John Conway, San Marcos, California.
