ENID - The funeral for Elna Barbara Lamunyon, 97, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Christopher Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery . Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born July 22, 1912, in Enid to Herman G. and Freeda Ann Brakhage Benkendorf and died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at her home.

She graduated from Lahoma High School in 1930.

She married Rex Lamunyon Aug. 4, 1932. They farmed all of their life.

She was a member of Vernon Extension Club and Valley View Extension Club. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Mary Martha Society and LWML. She also delivered Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are three daughters, Leslie Simmons of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jane Hubbart and June Brainard, both of Enid; one son, Emery R. Lamunyon of Waukomis ; one sister, Leona Campbell of Lahoma; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Redeemer Lutheran Church building fund or Hospice Circle of Love.
