Lawton

The funeral for Lois Earlene Newingham Jones, 86, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lawton' Heights United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kathy Leithner and Dr. William B. Moorer will officiate. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangments are by Becker Funeral Home.

She was born July 3, 1915 to Earl Joseph and Beulah Beatrice Newingham and died Sunday April 7, 2002 in Lawton.

She grew up in the Enid and Douglas area and graduated from Enid High School in 1936.She attended Beauty College and worked for Enid Livestock and Commission Co. On Nov. 1, 1936 she married Edwin Lewis Jones at Perry. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1960 and then moved to Lawton in 1995.

She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Montie Jones and the Rev. Phil Jones, both of Lawton: four grandchildren and six gr grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 17, 1989 and one brother.
