Graveside service for Billy G. Jones will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014, in Enid Cemetery. Bruce Schulz will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Billy G. Jones, the sixth child of Tom and Katie Jones, was born February 19, 1930, in El Reno, Oklahoma, and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014.

After high school, Bill worked for his brother building roads and bridges. While working in the Perry area, he met a waitress in the Covington Café. It was love at first sight. Nine days later, August 15, 1950, Bill and Jean Lee Henry were wed.

In 1954, they moved to Enid, and Bill went to work for Champlin Refining Co. He worked there in water treatment until the refinery closed in 1983. For the next 10 years he worked at the refinery site with the environmental clean-up crew.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Lee; two daughters, Pam Leavengood (Larry), Dorothy Bourgo (Ray Lorenz); son, Ray Jones (Nola); grandchildren, Mandy Loyd and Corly Jones (Rebecca); and great-grandchildren, Makai, Cambree and Riot Jones. He also is survived by too many friends to count and the best neighbors ever. He will be missed by them all.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Oklahoma Medical Research, Heart Division, through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. We also want to thank everyone who helped us during this difficult time.

Condolences may be made to the family at www.enidwecare.com.
