Gregory Townsend Hurst

A graveside service for Gregory Townsend Hurst, age 58, of Enid will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Enid Cemetery, with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

He was born to Jimmy B. Sr. and Marguerite (Townsend) Hurst on March 17, 1947 in Enid, and died Monday October 17, 2005, in Enid.

Gregory graduated from Enid High School were he was active in sports. He also attended Cameron College and Phillips University. He lived in Enid all his life and had two daughters, Lori and Kim. Gregory sold cars at several dealerships throughout the years. He was a pilot and would fly his family to Gull Lake in Minnesota. He later married Paula Ann Cass, and had a stepdaughter Tricia White. Gregory was a member of the Enid Ambucs, where he played Donkey Basketball every year, the Enid Corvette Club, and also a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Paula; two daughters Lori Calhoun and Kim Hurst, both of Ohio; a stepdaughter Tricia White of Texas; two sons-in law, Eugene Calhoun, and Chris White; six grandchildren, Latisha Carr, Nicole Richmond, Leilani Stringer, Kristofer Calhoun, Colin and Cass White; and beloved dog Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jimmy Jr.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF heart division.
