Mrs. Laura V. Hern, sister of R. O. Murphy died Sunday at Enid
Mrs. Laura V. Hern, 83, died Sunday afternoon after a lingering illness.
Born in Pike Co. Mo , Mrs. Hern came into Old Oklahoma in 1989 and settled in 1894 on a homestead south of Lahoma. She lived there until 1947 when he moved to Enid. She was a member of the Lahoma Christian Church and the Gold Star Mothers club.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence, Otis and Delbert Hern; one brother R. O. Murphy of Hennessey and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest and one son, Orville.
A prayer service was held in the Darnell Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service was held in the Lahoma Christian Church and burial was in the Enid Cemetery.
