A Celebration of Life for Lynnette Ione Hedges, age 85, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Racer officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, October 23, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Lynnette was born September 27, 1932 on the family farm south of Enid, to Frank and Ella (Urban) Semrad and passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in Enid.

Lynnette attended Enid Public Schools, graduating in 1950. She worked at Kresss and was an operator for Bell Telephone. She married Dean Hedges September 19, 1952 in Enid and made their home on the farm southeast of town. She worked with Dean on the farm before taking a job with Garfield County Treasurers office, where she retired in 1995. Lynnette was a member of the Garfield Republican Women; Garfield County Election Board; a board member of the Garfield County Farm Bureau; Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Lions Club; Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip; and was the first president of the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Band Boosters. Lynnette and Dean were long-time members of the Pleasant Vale Community Church where she held many offices, taught Sunday school, and was a song leader for the church.

Lynnette is preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Isbell and brother, LaVerne Semrad.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Hedges, of Enid; three children, DeLynn Greenfield and husband Ronnie, of Enid; son Brad Hedges and wife Katie, of Enid; son Brian Hedges and wife Debbie, of Knoxville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; Sheri Wise, of Edmond, OK; Sara Stuber and husband Mike, of Enid; Brook Carlsen and husband Chris, of Edmond; Brandi Williams and husband Dustin, of Cushing, OK; Kristen Hedges-Palmer, of Seattle, WA; Heath Hedges and fiancé, Emily Boli, of Edmond; Hannah, Hudson, and Hanson Hedges, all of Enid; and Gray Bunch, of Johnson City, TN; seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorials in Lynnettes name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Pleasant Vale Community Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
