Graveside services for longtime Enid resident Juanita Petty Funk, 91, will be 3 p.m. today, August 8, 2008, in Enid Cemetery with Marc Kliewer officiating. Arrangements are by Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Juanita was born August 31, 1916, in Comanche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Willard and Lena Petty and died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at her daughter's home in Dodge City, Kansas.

She married Charles A. Funk in January, 1937. He died in September 1961. She operated the soda fountains at Sandford Stunkle Drug Stores in Enid and later worked as properties manager for American Standard Life and Accident Insurance Co. for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Enid.

She is survived by her children, Charles M. Funk and his wife, Lupe of Houston, Texas, Carol Heydman and her husband, Tom of Dodge City, Kansas, and Nita Cummings and her husband, Paul Martin of Newbury Park, California. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Melani Kliewer and her husband, Marc of Cimarron, Kansas, Lori George and her husband, Pat of Dodge City, Kansas, Taylor Heydman of Bend, Oregon, Livia Cummings of Thousand Oaks, California, and Raleigh Cummings of Burbank, California; and five great-grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Kliewer, Thomas, Anna and Maris George. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.
