The funeral service for Jean Frisk is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home, with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Burial follows in Enid Cemetery.

Jean was born November 17, 1939, in Anthony, KS, to Forrest and Margaret (Kerley) Meyer. She took her last earthly breath on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Enid. She was baptized on April 18, 1954, at the Methodist Church in Bluff City, Kansas. Jean attended school in Bluff City where she was active in basketball, cheerleading, glee club, Y-teens, and band. She was married to John Frisk on July 9, 1965. They resided most of their 52 years of marriage on their farm near Garber, where they raised their four children. Jean had a tremendous work ethic and was employed at Rush Metals in Billings for over 25 years. Her passion was her family. She especially enjoyed supporting and encouraging her grandchildren in all their endeavors. She loved sports; when she wasn't cheering on a grandchild, she was rooting for the Thunder, Sooners, or Cowboys. In everything she did, Jean was an incredible example of love, selflessness, compassion, charity, strength, wisdom, kindness, honor, and meekness. She was a fighter and never gave up.

Jean is survived by her husband, John; four children, Chuck Struble and wife, Vickie of Earlsboro; Bart Struble and wife, Shelli of Garber; Kim McNeil and husband, Travis of Perry; Becky Lugafet and husband, Tony of Edmond; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Charles Meyer and wife, Wanda of Augusta, KS; Ronnie Meyer of Anthony, KS; one sister, Janet Sue Arnold and husband, Bill of Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to OMRF Lung Division, with Henninger~Hinson acting as custodian of the fund.
