Obituary
Enid Morning News May 18, 1948


Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fossett funeral chapel for William Lester Fite, 47, who died early Sunday at his home, 206 East Cedar.
Rev. Wayne Pearson will officiate and burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
Fite has been an employee of the high maintainence department until he became ill 18 months ago. He had previous worked for D. C. Bass and Son's Construction Co.
Born in Enid, Fite moved while an infant with his father to Girard, IL. He lived on a farm near there until 1927, when he returned to Enid.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home, several aunts and uncles and a cousin.
